Readers, many of you have signed up for email subscriptions to this blog. (Thanks, I love you!) Some of you were automatically signed up when I set up the system by virtue of having already registered with the site. If you want to leave comments, ya gotta register.
In March, Ex found the blog and thought to leave a very unkind comment. He had to register to do so and thus, he was automatically subscribed. (Oops, didn’t mean to do that.)
Since I added the plugin a month or so ago, Ex has been getting emails that begin, “Good news! The Bitter Divorcée has posted a new item…” These emails also end with, “Please visit the site to modify your subscription or unsubscribe.”
Has he unsubscribed? No.
I did get this nice little note from him yesterday though:

Here is the reply I thought better of sending:
Dear Ex,
How does a guy who supposedly makes $4,000 a year afford a Verizon Wireless Blackberry with a data plan?
The emails you have inadvertently been receiving by virtue of having registered at my site end, “Please visit the site to modify your subscription or unsubscribe.”
Lastly, let me inform you that YOU are my trash and I put you out on the curb years ago.
Please refrain from sending inflammatory communications of any sort in the future.

I can SO relate, some of the things you went/go through with your ex is the same as what my husband went through with his ex!
